A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the deputy head of the Office of the President, Iryna Vereshchuk, on the implementation of the MSEK reform.
The event was attended by government officials, representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the NSDC Apparatus and public organizations that care for people with disabilities.
The main topic of the meeting is the draft law of the Ministry of Health on reforming the system of assigning disability status and liquidating the MSEK, which should soon be considered at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health spoke about the introduction of a system for assessing a person’s daily functioning for the purpose of assigning disability. In addition, a plan for digitalization of the corresponding process was proposed. It envisages three stages, the first of which should begin on January 1 next year.
Special attention was paid at the meeting to the reform of military medical commissions, in particular thanks to the reduction of bureaucracy and the creation of a transparent process of passing the VLK. This will make it possible to shorten queues and relieve commissions. Over the course of two weeks, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital will develop steps to digitize the VLK.
