The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine concluded a number of implementation agreements with the Danish Ministry of Defense – the Ukrainian Defense Government Department reported on November 11.

The agreements provide for cooperation projects, the terms of their financing and the supply of weapons, the Ministry of Defense adds.

“The documents finalize the agreements recorded in the Letter of Intent, which was signed at the end of September in Kyiv. They provide for a number of purchases from Ukrainian defense companies for a total amount of approximately 535 million euros. The sources of funding are the governments of Denmark and Sweden and interest from frozen Russian assets,” the ministry said.

According to the report, the Ministry of Defense and the Defense Procurement Agency have provided Denmark with comprehensive information on manufacturers, weapons effectiveness, production capabilities and compliance with anti-corruption standards.

“According to the results of the agreements, Ukrainian manufacturers of arms and equipment, both state and private, will supply the Armed Forces with self-propelled artillery installations, attack drones, anti-tank weapons, missile weapons,” said the director of the Ministry’s Procurement Policy Department, Hleb Kanevskyi.

On November 7, Denmark’s Ministry of Defense announced plans to provide defense aid to Ukraine in the amount of 4 million Danish kroner (about 535 million euros). Part of the package is provided by revenues from frozen Russian assets.

In September, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 18 self-propelled howitzers “Bohdan” of Ukrainian production, which were financed by Denmark.
