The Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, checked the readiness of the naval and boat tactical groups of the Navy group to protect the “grain corridor” and the Black Sea.
The press service of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this on Facebook.
“Strengthening countermeasures against the enemy and improving anti-sabotage defense are the main tasks. The enemy repeatedly tried to enter our territorial waters, but thanks to the coordinated work of military sailors, the attempts were futile. It is important to continue to detect and neutralize threats in a timely manner. The crews of our warships are also involved in repelling air attacks, in particular kamikaze drones, with which the enemy terrorizes the civilian population,” the press service of Vice-Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa quotes.
The Commander of the Armed Forces Navy together with the commanders of the ships discussed key issues, in particular how to promptly respond to possible threats and maintain a high level of combat readiness.
“Constant improvement of training allows military sailors to quickly adapt to new challenges. At the same time, during the communication, a number of needs for additional resources and improvement of material and technical support were identified,” Neizhpapa said.
