British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron will try to convince US President Joe Biden to give Ukraine permission to strike targets on Russian territory with Franco-British Storm Shadow missiles. “Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron are expected to make one last desperate attempt to thwart Donald Trump’s efforts to reduce US support to Ukraine,” the publication wrote.

The leaders of Great Britain and France will discuss the issue in Paris, where Starmer will arrive on November 11 for a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the end of the First World War. According to the publication, official London hopes that Biden “will finally give the permission that Kyiv has been demanding for several months.”

The two leaders are also expected to discuss how the election of Donald Trump as president will affect the war in the Middle East, as well as talk about a possible trade war between the US and Europe.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, has been demanding from Western countries for several months that the Armed Forces of Ukraine be allowed to strike Russian territory with the help of Western weapons. Great Britain and France, according to The Telegraph’s sources, previously supported Zelenskyi in this matter, while the United States opposed it. Washington fears that Russia will strike Western military bases in response.
