Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Anatoliy Bargylevych, held a meeting with the military. According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the needs of the army and further steps for its modernization were discussed during the meeting.

“We are working on the uniform of the new model together with the military – we take into account their suggestions to make the equipment more comfortable and functional,” the minister wrote.

In addition, it is known that on the initiative of the military, new standards of military cuisine, as well as modifications and repairs of equipment and weapons are being considered.

“We are ready to test new solutions and scale them to the entire army,” Umyerov noted.

Also, according to him, they discussed the training of Ukrainian defenders.

“Preparing every soldier for modern conditions of war is a priority. We are working on improving the effectiveness of training so that the soldiers are as ready as possible for new challenges,” the head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

Another topic of discussion, according to Umerov, was the approaches of the allies and innovations.

“We have an important resource in the form of the Nettle and DELTA software – we are expanding its use and implementing modern management approaches that help the military work in a coordinated and fast manner,” added Umyerov.

Reforms and improvements of the Air Force and the Unmanned Systems Forces were also discussed. The minister emphasized that “changes should be supported by updating doctrines and updating the legal framework to prepare the army for modern requirements and opportunities.”

“Such meetings are becoming regular, and this is important. Together with the military, we agreed to work on the creation of a new coordinating body that will focus on collecting challenges, formulating proposals and monitoring their implementation,” Umyerov emphasized.

Earlier, Umerov announced the opening of the first center for the reintegration of released prisoners.
