Next week, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) will begin reviewing Ukrenergo’s tariffs for electricity transmission and dispatch management services in 2025.
This is reported on the website of the regulator.
The commission is considering a proposal to increase the tariff for electricity transmission in 2025 by 25% – from UAH 528.57/MWh to UAH 665.26/MWh. Ukrenergo asked for a double increase to UAH 780.41/MWh.
At the same time, a separate preferential transmission tariff for “green” electrometallurgy enterprises may even be reduced by 0.3% – from UAH 364.70/MWh to UAH 352.73/MWh.
The second draft of the decision of the NCRECP envisages a reduction of Ukrenergo’s tariffs for dispatching by 9% – from UAH 104.57/MWh to UAH 95.07/MWh.
At the meeting on November 13, tariffs are only planned to be approved. The final approval with the final figures will take place later.
Tariffs for transmission and dispatching are included in the electricity bill for non-domestic consumers. For large consumers, especially energy-intensive ones, this is a significant component of costs that increases the cost of products.
Since June 1, Ukraine has officially increased the electricity tariff for the population by 60%. It is 4.32 kWh regardless of consumption.
We will also remind you that, taking into account the restored generation, Ukrainian energy companies will be able to prepare approximately 14-15 GW of generating capacity for work by the beginning of December.
An increase in the electricity tariff for the population will reduce the load on the state Energoatom and stabilize the situation on the energy market.
