WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk decided to support the football club “Polyssia” after the scandalous match of the Ukrainian Premier League.

In the 12th round, the Zhytomyr team played an away match against “Alexandria”. At the 90th + 3rd minute, with the score 1:0 in favor of the hosts, an episode occurred, after which “Polyssia” asked for a penalty. The referee listened to the tips from the referees on the VAR system and decided to continue the game.

By the way, UAF published the conversation of the referees during the review of the moment.

“Polissya” did not simply leave this situation. The club sent an open letter to the UAF requesting an explanation of the episode from the UAF arbitration consultant Nicola Rizzoli.

In addition, “Polyssia” suggested the UPL team to organize a meeting with the UAF arbitration consultant Rizzoli and the head of the UAF refereeing corps, Kateryna Monzul, to discuss pressing issues regarding the decisions of the arbitrators.

“Good day everyone! I want to support you as a team, I know that you have been going through a lot of difficulties lately. But this is all temporary. I know you can. I send my congratulations to the training staff and, of course, to the president Gennady Vladyslavovich. Together we are a force and we will defeat everyone only together. “Polissya” – only forward!” Usyk said.
