Electricity consumption in Ukraine is growing today due to cloudy weather and lower efficiency of domestic solar power plants in most regions. In the evening hours, there is still a need for economical consumption, NPC Ukrenergo reported on Friday, UNN reports.

Consumption

“Today, November 8, as of 9:30 a.m., the consumption level was 5% higher than the previous day, Thursday, November 7,” the company said.

This was explained by a decrease in air temperature compared to the previous day. And also – the establishment of cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine, except for the south, which leads to a decrease in the efficiency of domestic solar power plants

“During the hours of maximum consumption in the morning and evening, the power system remains under capacity. Please do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 7:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 21:00 in the evening,” Ukrenergo emphasized.

ImportImport

It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 2,395 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 307 MW in some hours.
