Summons for mobilization through the “Oberig” system were primarily received by conscripts who do not pay taxes.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at the Kyiv International Economic Forum, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Mobilization, summonses that we send out – as of today, 98% of summonses sent out, which are formed deliberately through the Oberig registry, are sent to people who do not pay a single hryvnia of taxes and are not registered anywhere as working people. In fact, today the priority of mobilization is given to people who do not work, the unemployed,” Shmyhal said at the 10th Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF).
The Prime Minister added that only 2% of summonses were sent to working people in the last two months.
The head of the government added that today the registers make it possible to track whether a person pays taxes, regardless of whether he is an employed person, an entrepreneur or a self-employed person.
“If a person does not pay taxes, it means that the person is not employed, at least officially. Accordingly, it is visible in the registers, “Oberig” pulls up this information, and when subpoenas are formed, we can see that a person is unemployed, and these people are a priority for mobilization. It’s a very simple principle, I think it’s absolutely clear to everyone,” Shmyhal added.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the state has a critical need to pay the military.
“You know that the mobilization continues. The number of mobilized people was announced as 250,000. – this is a plus to the number of Armed Forces with which we spent these 2.5 years. These people need to be paid wages and provided accordingly,” he emphasized.
Rainsh, in August, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the announced principle “Fight or work” provides for a number of measures to detinize the country’s economy, and is also focused on the return of Ukrainian refugees.
We will remind that after the raids of the TCC in public places, the turnout of conscripted citizens to military commissariats increased.
The Council does not consider TCC checks, similar to the one conducted after the concert of the band “Ocean Elsa” in Kyiv and currently being conducted in shopping malls of various cities, to be a threat. On the contrary, they should be permanent.
