In Ukraine, conscripts with the status of limited fitness must undergo a re-medical examination by February 5, 2025, in accordance with new changes related to Law No. 3621, which canceled this status.
This was reported by Oleksandr Bodin, head of the military accounting department of the Rivne Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
According to the new rules, after passing the military medical commission (MMC), conscripts can receive one of several statuses:
- Suitable for military service – allows appointment to any position in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- Eligible for service in military support units, TCC and SP, higher military educational institutions – limited status for service in certain units.
- Temporarily unfit – given to people who need treatment or leave.
- Ineligible with re-examination in 6-12 months – provides for re-examination at a specified time.
- Ineligible with exemption from military registration means complete exemption from military obligations.
This new procedure ensures the updating of statuses of fitness for service and allows to more accurately determine the ability of conscripts to perform military tasks.
