When repelling RF attacks, there may be violations in the accurate time system used by smartphones in auto-correction mode. This happens due to the work of electronic warfare (EW).
This is reported by the Telegram of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As noted in the General Staff, in the course of measures to repulse air attacks of the Russian occupiers, means of radio-electronic warfare are used. In particular, to increase the effectiveness of the impact on the enemy, means of changing GPS satellite navigation coordinates (spoofing) are used.
A side effect of this effect is a violation of the accurate time system, which is used by mobile phones in the mode of automatic time correction.
“Taking into account the above, it is advisable to turn off the automatic time adjustment mode in the phone and take into account that during the announcement of air alarms, the accuracy of the satellite navigation systems may be disturbed,” – noted radio electronic warfare experts.
Earlier we wrote that the Russian Federation is gradually increasing the activity of Shahed attacks. The aggressor country is still able to use Western components, so sanctions should be strengthened.
In Ukraine, they are planning to introduce new methods of shooting down the Russian “Shaheeds”. This will be a response to Russia’s attempts to launch round-the-clock UAV attacks.
