The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, instructed the Ministry of Social Policy to develop a decision that would allow not to cancel the subsidy to families who installed energy equipment worth up to UAH 150,000.
“We understand that winter will be difficult, so we encourage citizens to be energy efficient in every possible way. In particular, before the installation of alternative sources of power and generation: solar panels, wind turbines, electricity storage. At the same time, people should not lose their right to a housing subsidy. Today, we are instructing the Ministry of Social Policy to develop and submit a relevant draft decision to the Government. It will be based on a simple and clear rule – if the cost of the installed energy equipment does not exceed UAH 150,000, the subsidy per family is retained,” Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.
The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Social Policy should also develop a mechanism according to which the amount of the subsidy for the payment of electricity will not decrease even in the event of power supply interruptions.
In the state budget for 2025, 42.3 billion hryvnias were earmarked for the payment of housing subsidies and benefits. This will be enough to provide for 2.8 million families receiving assistance.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy noted that the Pension Fund recalculates the amount of payments automatically taking into account the duration of the heating season. That is, you do not need to apply anywhere else for this.
