Australia plans to hand over 14 rigid-hull boats to Ukraine as part of its defense against a Russian invasion.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Australia on Tuesday, November 5.
“Australia remains firmly committed to supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. It is in Australia’s interest, and rightly so. Ukraine has demonstrated its ability to thwart Russia’s constant attacks from the Black Sea. We are proud to contribute to this vital maritime defense with this new package,” said Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Australia, these sea boats “will provide fast and highly maneuverable maritime capabilities for Ukraine.”
