As Umyerov reported, Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Laurinas Kaschyunas arrived in Kyiv today for a visit.
“Together with my Lithuanian colleague and Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Herman Smetanin, we signed a document aimed at strengthening our defenders on the battlefield: the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Defense Industry,” the head of the Ministry of Defense wrote.
In particular, the Memorandum envisages the joint production of UAVs and their components, ammunition and components, electronic warfare equipment, and the development of advanced technologies.
During the meeting, they also discussed specific ways to deepen our cooperation. Among the topics are plans for 2025 aimed at even greater military aid to Ukraine.
Representatives of Ukrainian intelligence provided detailed information to Lithuanian partners about the current situation at the front. The parties analyzed the plans of the Russians for autumn and winter.
“Today we see how the Russian Federation receives help from dictatorial regimes, including the involvement of manpower from North Korea. But I am convinced that with such reliable partners as Lithuania, we will defeat the aggressor,” Umerov stressed.
