“His sound is his weapon.” How the Vampire drone turned into Baba Yaga and what annoys the invaders the most – video

Ukrainian-made Vampire UAV is a heavy-duty hexacopter. Its development began in the summer of 2022, already after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. So this drone is best adapted to the conditions of modern warfare. His arsenal includes special aerial bombs, mortars, anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. “Vampires” are also actively used for remote mining and transportation of payloads.

Officially — Vampire. But for Russians – Baba Yaga.

– His sound is his weapon, that is, the enemy is also afraid of this sound and sometimes gets scared.

This is the Vampire UAV — Ukrainian development and production, a heavy class hexacopter that is actively used by units of the Ground Forces. It is equipped with six screws and can lift up to 15 kilograms of cargo into the air.

– This is when our infantry are sitting at observation posts, and they also want to eat and drink. Why risk people to deliver it to them? We attach about 15 kg of various cargo to the drone, calmly carry it, pack it well so that it does not break, calmly drop it directly into our trench.

And that’s not all. For example, the support forces of the Ground Forces use “Vampires” for remote mining.

Vampire can easily transport and drop anti-tank mines, and thus mine routes where the enemy does not expect threats. And a small modification can turn such a mine into a powerful bomb.

By the way, unlike fairy-tale monsters that are afraid of light, our “Vampires” work equally successfully at any time of the day.

— It is equipped with both a day camera and a night camera, that is, we can monitor both the day and night spectrum. That is, because of this, the spectrum of its application is wider.

In addition, Baba Yaga – Vampire can work in conditions of radio interference, when the enemy jams the satellite signal.

— There is a loss of satellites, satellite communication. The drone automatically switches to alt hold, and you start to control it manually. How to raise, how to plant.

“Vampires” have a considerable safety margin, even exceeding the characteristics declared by the manufacturer – both in terms of load capacity and maximum permissible wind speed.

— As the manufacturer writes, then [обмеження] – more than 7 m/s. But we fly in such a wind, because the task must be performed, and no one will do it instead of us.

The occupiers are panic-stricken “Baba Yaga” and try to oppose her in every possible way. EW and drones are on the move. “Vampire” is also interested in animals.

Of course, sometimes there are unfortunate losses. You can’t do without them in the war. But it is better to lose equipment, no matter how much it costs, than a priceless human life.
