So far, Ukrenergo does not see any reason to return the power outage schedules. However, lowering the air temperature will actually increase consumption.
This was reported by the press service of “Ukrenergo”.
Today, some mass media spread information about the probable application of hourly blackout schedules in Ukraine starting next week
“As of today, there are no grounds for the introduction of consumption restriction schedules for the population,” the report says.
At the same time, the company confirmed that the drop in air temperature at the beginning of next week is indeed predicted to cause an increase in the level of energy consumption.
“But whether it will be necessary to use disconnections (in particular, household consumers) – only the NEC “Ukrenergo”, which has not provided forecasts regarding the application of restriction measures, can predict,” the message says.
The press service emphasized that “Ukrenergo”, together with the Ministry of Energy, regional military administrations and energy companies, is doing everything possible to prevent the application of consumption restrictions.
“We ask citizens to trust only official sources of information, and experts and officials of energy companies to refrain from comments that go beyond their competence,” Ukrenergo added.
Earlier, a member of the supervisory board of “Tsentrenergo” Volodymyr Velychko said that next week forecasters predict a significant decrease in temperature, which will lead to an increase in electricity consumption.
He assumed that in the event that NEC “Ukrenergo” fails to maintain the balance of the energy system, power outage schedules will be applied.
After that, Centerenergo said that Velichko had expressed his personal opinion, and that schedules are determined exclusively by Ukrenergo.
Earlier we wrote that on the morning of October 31, Russia once again attacked Kyiv with drones. In the Podilsky district of the city, the fall of UAV wreckage was recorded, which damaged the power line.
We will also remind you that hourly power outage schedules may start as early as next week – due to a significant drop in temperature.
