In October 2022, law enforcement officers seized 316 art objects, most of which are paintings, from Viktor Medvedchuk’s estate in Pushcha-Vodytsia.

Despite the presence of paintings of dubious artistic value in the collection, Viktor Medvedchuk owned museum-level works. In particular, these are the works of Ivan Aivazovskyi, Volodymyr Orlovskyi, Serhii Vasylkivskyi, Yosyp Bokshay, Kostiantyn Korovin, Kostiantyn Kryzhitskyi.

At first, ARMA wanted to sell all the paintings from Medvedchuk’s arrested collection, but the Ministry of Culture opposed this idea, insisting that some of the paintings should be in museums.

Subsequently, experts of the National Art Museum of Ukraine indicated that 112 paintings have historical and cultural value. But it turned out that there are more of them.
