On October 30, Lithuania handed Ukraine a new batch of military aid, which included shells, mortars and generators.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.
“Lithuania continues to support Ukraine. This week, important military support – generators, ammunition, mortars, etc. – will arrive to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so that they are well equipped to fight the enemy this winter,” the message reads.
The agency recalled that in response to Ukraine’s requests, Lithuania has already transferred this year 155-mm artillery shells, M113 armored personnel carriers, drone protection systems, winter equipment and warm clothing, ammunition for the Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launcher, RISE-1 remote detonation systems, generators, forklift, folding beds, etc.
Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided military support to Ukraine for over 705 million euros. Lithuania’s overall support to Ukraine is long-term and has exceeded one billion euros.
Lithuania previously supplied M113 armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces, they are already fighting at the front.
Lithuania also agreed with the Turkish manufacturer of combat drone Bayraktar on the transfer of additional ammunition to Ukraine.
Lithuania has sent 1.5 million units of ammunition to the Armed Forces, and is preparing NASAMS air defense complexes and other equipment for dispatch.
