Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhya OVA, announced this in his Telegram channel.
“Another enemy shelling on Saturday night, the enemy hit the center of Zaporizhzhia with two anti-aircraft guns. Unfortunately, there are the first victims, the next damaged buildings. Thanks to the rescuers, utility workers, everyone is working on the spot,” Fedorov said in a video commentary.
In the text message, Fedorov first wrote that there was one wounded person, and later clarified that the number of victims had increased to three.
Russia first attacked Zaporizhzhia with anti-aircraft missiles on September 22. On September 26, the spokesman of the Defense Forces of the South, Vladyslav Voloshyn, said that such attacks became possible thanks to the modifications of the KABs.
“Indeed, the Russians have made certain changes in the design of aerial bombs, the platforms they launch, and today they were able to hit these guided aerial bombs not only on populated areas near the front line. And these bombs are already starting to reach the center of Zaporizhzhia,” Voloshyn said.
