Google, Meta and TikTok deleted accounts related to an industrial enterprise in Tatarstan (Russia), which recruited young foreign women to work in the production of drones.
This is reported by the Associated Press.
Accounts on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok were deleted after the publication of an investigation on October 10 that revealed working conditions at a drone factory in the Alabuga special economic zone, which is under US and UK sanctions.

In videos and posts on social networks, young women, mostly from Africa, were promised free flights to Russia and earnings of more than $500 a month. However, upon arrival, many of them unexpectedly learned that instead of training in hospitality or catering, they would have to work in a weapons factory assembling Iranian attack drones for use in the war against Ukraine.
Some of the women interviewed by the AP complained of grueling working hours under constant surveillance, broken promises about wages and working with harmful chemicals.
The tech giants also deleted the accounts of the Alabuz Polytechnic Institute, an educational institution whose graduates specialize in the production of drones.
In total, these deleted pages had more than 158,000 followers, and one TikTok account had more than a million likes.
