“Something needs to be strengthened.” Syrotyuk – about the military’s perception of Zelenskyi’s victory plan

I am generally surprised that I, as a soldier, am asked anything about strategies. I am a soldier now and anyone who is at war must be aware of the times in which we live. This is an existential war.

We understand, I’m glad that we have a president who talks about victory, not peace. Because in my personal opinion (as a person with a historical education, with a post-graduate course in social philosophy and philosophy of history, where I studied the role of man in history), the fact that we wage war with Russia dynamically, that we fight on its territory, that we are not afraid to throw at it challenges, the fact that we still dream of peace and not of surrender is a very important factor in this war.

I saw this plan of the president. The only thing I want to say is that in all periods of the history of the Ukrainian nation, our key plan was to focus on our own strength. In this plan, the president, if not me, should strengthen the part that even if the world gets tired, and even if there are logistical gaps, and even if sometimes someone does not give us money through Hungary or Slovakia, and even if there are some political problems in America storms, we still have to fight for our country. And this will be the most important guarantee of our success.

Now the infantile part of society is starting to look for some uncle who will help us. On February 24, 2022, we did not think so. We went, took weapons, and we did not know whether we would return at that moment or not.

Therefore, it seems to me that in this regard it is necessary to strengthen what… Yes, we need allies, yes, we need to do everything so that our enemy loses allies. We see that Putin (even though it is such a huge country), then it attracts prisoners, then it tries to attract mobilized people from African countries, then it pays huge sums of money to contractors. Now we hear about some North Koreans. What does this indicate? That he does not have such a huge reserve of mobilization, that he does not have such a huge reserve of strength. And in this war, internal Ukrainian unity, faith and will play an important role.

And the president in this regard, it seems to me that the flag performs those functions… He demonstrates the will to fight, he demonstrates faith in victory. Believe me, it is very important.
