A 26-year-old resident of the Mykolaiv Region was rescued in Zakarpattia Oblast, who had been wandering in the mountains for ten days.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in Telegram.

The rescuers note that the tourist wandered in the mountains for 10 days until the rescuers found him.

“A 26-year-old resident of Mykolayiv region went on a hike from the village of Vorokhta, in Ivano-Frankivsk region, on October 5,” the report says.

The rescuers note that for the last four days the boy has been wandering in the mountains without food at all.

On October 15, rescuers found the boy in the Bolotyn Grun tract in an exhausted state. They fed him, gave him hot tea, treated his wounds, and then handed him over to medics, the press service adds.

The State Emergency Service notes that since the beginning of the year, emergency workers have helped more than 500 tourists, including children.
