The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted a survey on personnel reshuffles in the government that took place in early September. The majority of Ukrainians, 74%, believe that nothing will change after that.
Sociologists asked Ukrainians what changes they expect: the government’s activities will improve, worsen or nothing will change.
74% of respondents believe that nothing will change after personnel changes. Another 12% expect an improvement, and 6% expect a deterioration in the government’s performance.
People who live in the eastern part of Ukraine (17%), in the south – 14%, in the central part – 12%, in the west – 9% hope for positive changes the most.
KMIS also found out how opinion on this issue varies depending on the level of trust in President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Yes, 19% of those polled who are loyal to Zelensky believe that the government will get better after personnel reshuffles (64% believe that there will be no changes). At the same time, among those who do not trust the president, only 3% think so (88% think that there will be no changes).
The survey was conducted by KMIS on its own initiative from September 20 to 27, 2024. 1,001 Ukrainians over the age of 18 were interviewed by phone in all territories, except temporarily occupied ones. The statistical sampling error did not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50%; 3.5% – for indicators close to 25%; 2.5% – for indicators close to 10%; 1.8% – for indicators close to 5%.
An earlier survey showed that almost 80% of Ukrainians support the completion of new units of the Khmelnytsky NPP.
A sociological survey by the “Rating” group showed that about 90% of Ukrainians do not plan to change their place of residence during the autumn-winter period of 2024. This decision was made despite possible problems with the electricity supply.
