Russia can attack NATO by 2030 – the head of German intelligence

He said this at the hearing of the Parliamentary Control Committee of the Bundestag, n-tv reports.

Cal sees a direct military threat from Russia.

“The Russian armed forces will be able to attack NATO by the end of this decade at the latest,” said the head of German intelligence.

He noted that the Kremlin sees Germany as an enemy due to the fact that Germany is the second largest country that supports Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

According to him, Germany is “in direct conflict” with Russia.

Kal added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is concerned not only with Ukraine, but also with “the creation of a new world order.” At the same time, the Russian special services are increasingly using all their means “without any remorse.”

He also stressed that politicians must give the German security services the means and powers to prevent these dangers.

A possible Russian attack on NATO – what is known

In December 2023, the Bild edition, citing its own sources in the intelligence of one of the European countries, reported that Russia may try to attack Europe in late 2024 or early 2025, when the United States finds itself “without a leader” and will be able to come to the aid of European states only after some delay.

American intelligence reported in March 2024 that Russia does not want a direct military conflict with the United States and NATO and will continue asymmetric activities, which, according to its estimates, will not cross the threshold of a military conflict on a global scale.

German intelligence says that Russia is preparing for a large-scale conflict with NATO and may attack at least part of the Alliance’s territory as early as 2026.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has also repeatedly stated that in the event of Ukraine’s defeat, the Russian Federation will “definitely” attack the Baltic states.
