Natus Vincere won at IEM Rio 2024 / Photo – ESLUkrainian eSports organization Natus Vincere defeated Germany’s MOUZ in the IEM Rio 2024 Finals with Counter-Strike 2. The match ended with a score of 3:1.The game started on the Inferno map chosen by MOUZ. NaVi got off to a shaky start and conceded in the first half. However, after switching sides, NaVi were able to fight back and win. The teams then moved on to Dust 2 – Natus Vincere’s choice. Here the Ukrainian team dominated, giving only two rounds to the opponent.
The third map was Mirage, where MOUZ managed to impose a fight. The game was tense and even, but in key moments NAVI lacked accuracy from sniper Igor w0nderful Zhdanov. As a result, MOUZ closed the gap in the series.
The Ancient card was decisive. Despite MOUZ leading 10-2, Natus Vincere made an impressive comeback and finished the match in their favor, lifting the Rio trophy above their heads.
For winning the tournament, NAVI received $100,000 and a ticket to IEM Katowice 2025. This final was the team’s seventh in 2024 and sixth in a row.

After the tournament, HLTV named the Romanian player iM as the Most Valuable Player of IEM Rio 2024. He finished the competition with a rating of 1.15 and contributed significantly to the victory over MOUZ in the final. This is the first MVP award in iM’s career.
NaVi player Aleksib Virolainen commented on the victory. Aleksib admitted that he had recently lost a loved one and was trying to cope with his emotions throughout the game.
