“I returned to Ukraine with concrete results after meetings with colleagues – the defense ministers of France, Great Britain, Italy and Germany. He worked as part of the work of the delegation headed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. All four countries confirmed: investments in the Ukrainian defense and industrial complex will grow.” – said Umerov.
The partners discussed specific steps to increase the production of weapons – both in Ukraine and through the creation of joint ventures with European partners.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that this will allow the production of equipment, weapons and ammunition for the Defense Forces within the framework of a fundamentally new format of cooperation.
“Another important issue is whether the frozen Russian assets will be used to finance our defense needs,” – emphasized Rustem Umyerov.
He said that he personally got acquainted with the training of the Ukrainian brigade in France. The country not only trains, but also equips our units with modern weapons.
“During the meeting with the President, Macron offered to exchange experience in the field of drones. Ukraine is ready to help create a training center for training UAV operators in France.” – concluded the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto confirmed during a meeting with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov that European support for Ukraine’s defense is growing.

Earlier, the Norwegian government decided to allocate up to 967 million kroner (approximately 87.5 million dollars) for four new projects. They are aimed at increasing production capacity.
The Ministry of Defense received funds from Denmark for the production of the “Bohdan” self-propelled guns. 40.7 million euros allocated from the aid package are already in the accounts of the ministry.
