Niklas “Lena900” Astedt made poker history by winning his tenth World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) title. The Swede won the WCOOP 97-H: $10,300 NLHE PKO Thursday Thrill High Roller, adding $188,988 to his bankroll. This success made Astedt the sixth player in PokerStars history to reach the mark of ten WCOOP titles.

In the final matchup, Astedt defeated Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, who was also seeking his 11th title. Interestingly, Ukrainian poker player Roman “RomeOpro” Romanovsky took sixth place in this prestigious tournament, earning $31,813.

Meanwhile, Team Tonkaaaa’s Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot added a fifth WCOOP title of 2024 to his collection by winning the $1,050 World Championship of Badugi. However, despite the success of Talbot and his team, they still cannot overtake Team peace&loove in the WCOOP League, who continue to hold the lead.
