On September 29, energy workers in Ukraine restored electricity supply to 27,441 consumers who were cut off as a result of hostilities and technological violations.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

As of the morning of September 30, 484 settlements remained partially or completely without power. In particular, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Odesa, Kharkiv and Kherson regions were affected by shelling and fighting. In the Zaporizhzhia region, electricity supply was stopped due to the fall of debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle on a substation, as a result of which 1,212 subscribers were cut off.

In addition, in the Kharkiv region, as a result of hostilities, power was cut off at substations and household consumers, but power was restored. Overhead lines were turned off in Donetsk region, but consumers were not left without electricity. The storm also led to blackouts in 45 settlements in Khmelnytskyi region and 11 in Chernivtsi region.

Since the beginning of October 2022, Russia has carried out more than a thousand strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, resulting in the loss of 9 GW of generating capacity this year alone.

We previously wrote that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine canceled the recommendation to state authorities and state enterprises to stop using air conditioners, as well as external lighting of buildings and adjacent territories, effective September 30.

We will also remind you that as a result of shelling of the village of Slatine in Kharkiv Oblast, a high-voltage power transmission line was damaged.
