Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca admitted that talented young midfielder Karni Chukwuemeka is not in his plans.
The Italian said that it is better for the 20-year-old Englishman to leave the team.
“He’s a very good player, but with the number of players we have … we decided at the start of the season that it was better for him to go.
We wanted him to play 35 games, not stay here and play fewer matches,” insider Fabrizio Romano quoted Marescu as saying.
It was previously reported that Chelsea could send Chukwuemeka to Italy for an exchange.
