After the Russian shelling in January 2024, which significantly damaged the production facilities of the tactical clothing manufacturer M-tac, the company managed to keep 70% of its employees thanks to the help of Ukrainian brands.

This was announced by the founder of the M-tac company, Oleksandr Karasyov, during the EP export forum.

After shelling capacity of M-tac in January 2024, the company did not export products for about two months, as the warehouse with materials was completely destroyed.

After that, M-tac received additional investment for recovery.

“This gave us the opportunity to pass the zero or minus point of our business. Now we have about a thousand people working in Ukraine, we had to take contractors from other brands. Our factories worked as just factories, other brands went to the meeting. Thanks to this, we were able to save 70 % of employees,” Karasyov said.

At the same time, the biggest problem for restoring the company’s capacities remains the labor shortage.

“We don’t have enough qualified workers, there is an outflow of labor force from Ukraine. We can say goodbye to the current workforce and the large volume of production in Ukraine,” Oleksandr Karasyov added.
