Details: The police report does not specify the name of the person involved, but based on the circumstances of the case and data from the Police Department, it is about Stakhiv, who was searched on September 25.

Now he is accused of spreading information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fraud (part 2 of article 114-2, part 1, 2 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As is known, a few months before the start of a full-scale war, the figure incited people to stage mass riots and seize state institutions under the guise of the “anti-vaccination movement.”

Being in the status of the accused during the full-scale invasion, the suspect continued his anti-Ukrainian activities, the special service emphasizes.

Through his own accounts in social networks, the “blogger” distributed destructive content.

In addition, according to the investigation, in January 2024, Stakhiv, positioning himself as an activist, conducted a live broadcast with his subscriber.

During the broadcast, he distributed information about the location of the personnel of one of the departments of the TCC of the Rivne region, with the possibility of their identification in the area.

Later, the suspect publicly shared a video recording of the live broadcast on his Facebook page and Telegram channel. Such information could be used by the aggressor country in the course of the war, the Prosecutor General’s Office emphasizes.

In addition, the suspect implemented a criminal scheme to seize citizens’ funds under the pretext of studying on the Internet.

Stakhiv organized online “journalism” courses, where, among other things, he taught his followers to counter the mobilization in Ukraine.

The cost of the courses was 7 thousand hryvnias per student. Upon completion of training, the person involved promised his clients international journalist certificates.

However, instead of the promised documents, he gave the “graduates” fictitious certificates of a local newspaper, which lost its accreditation in the spring of this year (“Halytskyi visti” – ed.).

During searches of the suspect’s residence, law enforcement officers found mobile phones and other material evidence of criminal activity.

So far, the perpetrator has been notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention without bail is being resolved.

An investigation is underway to bring to justice all persons involved in subversive activities against Ukraine.

What preceded: During the covid pandemic, Ostap Stakhiv was one of the leaders of the anti-vaccination movement. In November 2021, the Security Service of Ukraine announced that Stakhiv was suspected of overthrowing the state order. He underwent a psychiatric examination.
