The situation at the front remains difficult, 154 combat clashes were recorded during the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning briefing on September 25.

According to the report, most of the Russian attacks were in three directions. In particular, in the Pokrovsky direction, according to the command, the Ukrainian military stopped 25 assault and offensive actions of Russian forces in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvizhenka, Novotoretske, Krasny Yar, Novogrodivka, Mykolaivka, Marynivka and Zelene Pole. The greatest concentration of attacks was near Novotoretskyi.

“The enemy attacked 22 times in the Lyman direction. Tried to wedge into our defense near Druzhelyubivka, Cherneshchyna, Grekivka, Nevsky, Torsky, Makiivka, Novosadovo, and Zarichny. In the Kurakhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 attacks. The occupiers most actively tried to advance near Georgiyivka and Tsukuriny. In addition, the enemy attacked in the direction of Dalnyi, Kostyantynivka, Katerynivka and Zhelanno Drogo,” the summary states.

In addition, battles continued in Kharkiv, Kupyan, Siver, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Vremiv and Dnipro.

“According to detailed information, yesterday the enemy launched three missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using six missiles, as well as 75 airstrikes, including dropping 123 anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, it carried out almost 5,000 attacks, of which 178 were from rocket salvo fire systems, and engaged about 1,700 kamikaze drones for destruction,” the General Staff reported.

On September 22-23, the DeepState project reported on a number of successes of the Russian army in Donbas – the aggressor advanced deep into Toretsk, near New York to the southeast of Toretsk, near Tsukuriny southeast of Selidovy, as well as near Vodyanyi, Prechistivka and Ugledar.

In a report released on September 24, the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said that Russian forces had reached the outskirts of Vugledar in Donetsk region during an intensified offensive near the settlement, but that its possible capture was unlikely to give Russian forces any particular operational advantage for further offensive operations in the western part of Donetsk region.
