The leadership of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine met with the delegation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania. The parties discussed the preparation of units, exchange of experience in the application of modern technologies, expansion of cooperation, etc.

This was announced on September 24 by the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The delegation led by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania, Brigadier General Arturas Radvilas, visited higher military educational institutions and training centers, met with the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk.

Representatives of the Ukrainian side talked about the training of personnel, demonstrated the material and technical base, and shared the experience of conducting combat operations in modern conditions.

The delegation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania highly appreciated the Ukrainian experience in the use of electronic warfare (EW) and unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), which are an important part of the Armed Forces.

In particular, each brigade of the Ground Forces has its own separate units that perform such functions.

The guests noted the high quality of the educational programs that were developed and used in Ukraine for the training of cadets of educational institutions and servicemen of the Armed Forces units.

The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, noted his readiness to share with international partners the experience of using electronic warfare and air defense systems, acquired during the conduct of hostilities against the Russian aggressor.

In particular, the Department of Accumulation and Generalization of Experience has been created within the Ground Forces Command, the activities of which will soon be presented to the military attachés of the embassies of partner countries.

The Lithuanian guests also saw the passing of a psychological obstacle course by military personnel undergoing basic military training. This test is important and one of the most difficult stages of every fighter’s training.

In conditions as close as possible to combat, Ukrainian servicemen, accompanied by experienced instructors, demonstrate tactical training skills, physical endurance and psychological stability.

At the end of the visit, Brigadier General Arturas Radvilas visited the Chernobyl zone. It was here in 2022 that one of the routes to the occupation of part of the Kyiv region by the Russian army lay. The consequences of those events were the terrible crimes of the Russians, in particular, the mass murders of the civilian population in the communities of the Kyiv region, which were condemned by the civilized world.

Cooperation with Lithuanian partners allows the Ground Forces to become stronger. In turn, NATO member states gain a better understanding of the threat of neighboring an aggressor state and the importance of Ukrainian experience in effectively countering such risks.

As ArmiyaInform reported, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania visited fortifications in Chernihiv Oblast.
