An informal meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of the EU member states was held at the EU representation at the UN in New York under the chairmanship of the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell and with the participation of the head of the foreign affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga. “I urge you to treat Ukraine as a de facto member of the EU, which we will soon officially become. We have already started negotiations on accession and strive to open as many clusters as possible in parallel. Ukraine understands the complexity of this process and is ready to do its “homework”, all , which is in our power, so that this admission process is based on merit and lasts exactly as long as it is needed, and not as long as it was before,” the minister said.
