This was stated by Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko during a briefing.

“We have no reason to believe that the social sphere will not be financed next year, because it is a priority. I want to note that this share is sufficient to ensure all the needs of socially vulnerable categories, and these are priority expenses in the budget,” – he said.

The minister emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the government has never delayed pensions and other social benefits.

At the same time, Marchenko noted that there is no possibility to raise the minimum wage next year.

“At this stage, and this was also agreed with our partners, we are not able to raise social standards. This year, we increased the minimum wage by 19% to 8,000 hryvnias. We consider it possible to maintain this amount for the whole year next year.” – said the head of the Ministry of Finance.

Budget 2025 – the main newsThe state budget draft for 2025 does not provide for an increase in the minimum wage and, accordingly, other social standards. The document proposes to set the minimum wage at the level of 8 thousand hryvnias starting from January 1, 2025, just like this year.

According to the UNIAN article, the 2025 draft state budget foresees GDP growth of 2.7%, inflation at the level of 9.5% for the year, and the dollar exchange rate at UAH 45/dollar. Government officials predict an increase in the average salary from the current 20,581 hryvnias to 24,389 hryvnias in 2025.
