After the serious injury of Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi in the Serie A match against Venice (0:2), the management of Genoa began to consider candidates for his replacement. This was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the source, the Griffins are considering three candidates — Antonio Candreva, Rafinha Alcantara and Viktor Kovalenko. All three are now free agents.

Earlier it became known that Malinovsky underwent an operation and now a long rehabilitation process awaits him.

Kovalenko’s last club was Atalanta, which he left last summer. He spent the last season as part of Empoli on loan – he has 17 matches, one goal and one assist.
