“The security service detained another agent of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv. He turned out to be a recently mobilized 45-year-old resident of the city, who was remotely recruited by the Russian military intelligence in August of this year. On the instructions of the occupiers, the person involved was supposed to carry out an air strike on one of the divisions of his Armed Forces brigade. In exchange upon this, the Russian special service promised to “evacuate” the agent to the aggressor country, where he planned to join the enemy’s army and fight against Ukraine,” the message reads.
To fire, as indicated, the person involved marked the “required” locations on the Google map and sent the corresponding screenshot to his Russian curator.
Also, as reported, the agent conducted preliminary reconnaissance near the combat positions of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces, which the Rashists hoped to “bypass” during the missile attack.
“According to the instructions of the military intelligence of the Russian Federation, before enemy fire, the traitor was to arrive at a designated place on the front line, and the occupiers were to create a “corridor” for him to cross the front line,” the message reads.
However, the SBU employees worked ahead of time and as soon as they documented the criminal actions of the agent, then, as indicated, they detained him at the stage of preparation for “evacuation” to Russia.
On the basis of the received evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
The perpetrator is currently in custody without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
