In New York, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the President of Paraguay Santiago Peña.
The head of the Ukrainian state thanked Paraguay for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the situation on the battlefield and the results of the first Peace Summit.
“You could not come to our first, inaugural Summit, but the Joint Communiqué is open for signature. You know that 11 countries of Latin America joined the inaugural Summit, and of course we really want Paraguay to join the communique as well,” said the President of Ukraine.
During the meeting, regional and global security challenges, prospects for trade and economic cooperation and exchange of experience in mining and agriculture were discussed, and the teams were instructed to study the most promising directions for cooperation.
