Zelenskyi’s request appeared against the background of fierce fighting in the east of Ukraine, as well as a few weeks after Ukraine’s operation in Russia’s Kursk region.
In an interview with ABC News, Zelensky said that Putin is “afraid” of the Kursk operation.
