In Vienna, the Ukrainian delegation, led by the deputy head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra, held the 11th meeting of the Core Group on the creation of a special tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

Based on the results of the work, the participants reached an agreement on the general concept of creating a special tribunal.

The deputy head of the President’s Office noted that this meeting was key to determining the model of the tribunal, which will be established by an agreement with the Council of Europe. Core Group participants moved from general issues of the special tribunal format to discussion of the draft Charter.

“Ukrainians are waiting for justice to be restored. We cannot afford to delay. The creation of this special tribunal is a moral obligation for the whole world. After all, it is not only about Ukraine. It is about the future of international law, the rule of law and global peace,” Iryna Mudra emphasized.

41 delegations took part in the meeting. All of them confirmed that those guilty of the crime of aggression against Ukraine will be brought to justice, and also determined the next steps for the creation of a special tribunal.
