– Of course, it’s unpleasant after the game – and that’s putting it mildly. These are emotions, but I will not say that they are negative. It will be necessary to do an analysis. Many matches, I will not say that we are tired, because it is better to play than to train. I believe that “Rukh” has a very good team, it proved it at the beginning of the championship and in today’s match. They run a lot, but not thoughtlessly, and this is a big plus, it is very interesting to play with such teams. Respect to them, and we have a lot to work on, we will be stronger.
– What was missing? Something in terms of fighting or just in the final phase?
– There was enough struggle both from our side and from theirs. In my opinion, if the fans watch the game, they will not be able to blame us for the lack of desire. We went to the joints, our legs were all bruised, but in football the one who scores the goals into the opponent’s goal wins. And we had enough chances and they did. I can’t say that there were many opportunities, but there were many prerequisites for goals. It was simply necessary to manage our moments better somewhere – somewhere the goalkeeper played well, somewhere we had a fart, sometimes they. I think the final stage is a bit limping, and this applies not only to us, but also to many teams, including in Europe. It is necessary to work, and only in this way, through practice, realization will come.
– The next game is against Lazio. With what mood will you approach this game? Despite the fact that the points with “Rukh” were lost, but the unbeaten streak continues…
– It is very good that the game is already in four days. If it was, for example, a week, you still subconsciously resort to analysis, get upset. And here the game is coming soon, all of Ukraine will be watching us, I hope many people will come to the stands, we are playing for our country in the Euro arena. But we had “Rukh”, ahead of “Lazio”, after it “Left Bank”… We will adjust to “Lazio” in the same way as to “Rukh”. It is very interesting, me and the team are waiting for this match, we will give everything to bring home points.
– Have you already dismantled “Lazio”?
– We are moving step by step. We were preparing for “Rukh”, and there will still be time to watch “Lazio”. The coach will tell us about our further schedule, and we will prepare. But “Lazio” is a good team, there are no weak teams here. So it will be interesting. We have already played against good teams, raised the bar, the fans expect a result from us, so we need to maintain it – and this is a minimum task.
– In general, did you watch Lazio matches on your own, did you analyze something for yourself?
– To be honest, not yet. I haven’t been home for a long time, I came back – family, children, haven’t seen each other for a long time. So it was a bit off for football (smiles), I had to pay attention to my family. I think the coaches will tell us everything in detail, show enough matches. When the national team played against Albania, we were faced with Husay on the right wing – a good defender. That’s all I can say.
