“President Biden is absolutely determined to support Ukraine and put it in the strongest position at the end of his term in office. And he has directed all of us who work for him to move heaven and earth to make sure that we provide all, especially military assistance, but also energy security assistance, assistance that was part of the supplemental funding bill that passed in April — to highlight all this as soon as possible. At the same time, in this context, Carpenter says that there are no announcements regarding the lifting of restrictions on the use of American long-range weapons for strikes on the territory of Russia. But he assumes that this will be a topic of discussion during Zelenskyi’s visit to the United States.
Carpenter announced that Washington will launch a series of initiatives, both over the next week and over the coming months, to strengthen Ukraine’s position.
