Afghanistan Even before the start of the World Cup, the coach of the Ukrainian national team, Oleksandr Kosenko, drew attention to the fact that Afghanistan is a serious rival in our group. Six players from this team play in the Iranian championship. And the mentor also noted that the meeting will not take place in Tashkent on the parquet, but in Andijan, where the floor covering is taraflex. “… Still, it is more convenient for us to play on the floor, and Asian teams, for example, Afghanistan, play more on taraflex, and it will be more convenient for them in Andijan. It’s not good for us. Taraflex is slow. We need the ball to move faster,” Kosenko said.
The Afghans really showed themselves at this tournament as a strong and skilled team in futsal. This was especially noticeable in the match against Argentina, in which the vice-champions of the world were able to win only with a minimal advantage of 2:1. Moreover, in the middle of the second half, the player of Afghanistan, Hossaini, played the missed goal at the beginning of the game and equalized the score. But the draw lasted only a minute and the Argentines immediately scored the second goal.
It is interesting that, as in the national team of Ukraine, different players scored goals in Afghanistan. In addition to the above-mentioned Hossaini, Mahmoudi, Kanbari, Mohammadi, Norovzi, Kazemi and Hossein Poor also scored in the match against Angola, won with a score of 6:4. So the Afghans know how to score and will try to achieve the result they want in the match with our boys.
