The Firedancer base client has also been activated on the testnet, said Kevin Bowers, Scientific Director of Jump Crypto.
Frankendancer is a hybrid of Firedancer technology and Agave validator code. Dual configuration allows immediate changes to the network prior to the release of the major version.
Written in C, the client adds an extra layer of security by diversifying Solana’s validator code base, unlike the original Rust-based software, according to the statement.
“A second independent validator has benefits beyond performance, but performance is a prerequisite for reducing costs and increasing throughput,” Bowers added.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire expressed optimism amid Firedancer’s rollout.
This is an incredible milestone for our industry https://t.co/Kbog2HKtUC

“This is an incredible milestone for our industry,” he noted.
Firedancer is designed to increase the stability of Solana and eliminate the problem of intermittent crashes.
We will remind you that in July the network team allocated $1 million to search for bugs in the client.
