In addition to creating a register of “homeless” dwellings, the occupiers began the process of expropriating land plots from local residents. From March 1, 2025, plots on which there has been no construction or other use for two years will be confiscated.
Owners may lose their dachas or plots of land for personal farm if the supervisory authorities decide that the plot is not being used. Exactly how the “use” of the land will be determined remains unknown.
The occupation administrations also continue raids aimed at finding real estate without reissued documents according to Russian law.
