The draft law on raising taxes in the second reading may be considered by the Council in mid-October – People’s Deputy

The Verkhovna Rada plans to consider the draft law, which provides for a tax increase, in mid-October, but its regulations will come into effect as early as October 1. People’s deputy, member of the budget committee Lesya Zaburanna said about this on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.

We voted for this draft law in the first reading and there was no support for shortening the deadline for submitting proposals, so we predict that it will pass the second reading in mid-October. The norms will apply after October 1. That is, after we vote on it, these changes will apply to everyone from October 1. That will concern all citizens. We know that the military tax is a tax that was introduced in 2014 and it was created with the purpose of filling the fund for the Security and Defense Forces. We paid it in the amount of 1.5%. Now all citizens will pay it in the amount of 5%. That is, it will increase by 3.5% for each Ukrainian

She emphasized that the Council did not increase taxes for sole traders, but introduced a new tax for entrepreneurs.

Somehow it so happened that from 2014 to today, the FOPs did not pay military duty at all. In order to equalize the issue of social justice, when teachers, nurses, doctors pay military levy, a military levy for FOPs was also introduced. It will be 10% of the minimum wage. From January 1, all 1-2 groups of private enterprises will pay this tax in the amount of 800 hryvnias. Group 3 – 1% of turnover. The introduction of the military levy and its increase will affect all categories of citizens of Ukraine
