Added: Around 9:30 p.m., the Air Force reported that two groups of “Shakheds” are already flying through Ukraine: one continues its movement in the south of Sumy Oblast on a course to Poltava Oblast, the other is moving in the south of Chernihiv Oblast on a course to the southwest.
According to the online map, an air alert has now been declared in Sumy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast and Kyiv Oblast.
Added 2: Later, the alarm spread to Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions.
According to the Air Force, as of 10:00 p.m., one group of drones is continuing its movement in the south of Chernihiv Oblast in the direction of Kyiv Oblast, another – in the east of Kyiv Oblast, is continuing its movement towards Cherkasy, and the third group of drones is extending its movement on the border of Sumy and Poltava Oblasts towards Myrhorod.
At 22:28, the Air Force reported that the “Shaheed” groups continued to move:
- in Sumy Oblast, course west;
- in Kharkiv Oblast, course to Poltava Oblast;
- in the Poltava region, the course is southwest;
- in Cherkasy region, course to the southwest;
- in Mykolayiv Oblast, course to Kryvyi Rih;
- in the Kherson region, course to the Mykolaiv region.
At 10:55 p.m., the Kyiv OVA reported that air defense by drones was operating in the region.
At 23:05, drones were reported:
- in the southeast of Kyiv, heading southwest;
- in the north of the Cherkasy region heading for Bila Tserkva;
- in the west of Poltava Oblast heading towards Kyiv Oblast and in the east of Poltava Oblast heading towards Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- to the south-west of Sumy in the direction of Kharkiv Oblast;
- in the north-west of Kharkiv Oblast in the direction of Poltava Oblast;
- to the north of Mykolaiv heading northwest.
At 11:52 p.m., there was another update on the movement of UAVs:
- in the north of Sumy Oblast heading west;
- in the south-west of Sumy Oblast in the direction of Poltava Oblast;
- course to Poltava;
- south of Kharkiv course to the southeast;
- in the north-east of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the direction of Kirovohrad Oblast;
- in the west of Kirovohrad Oblast, heading for Vinnytsia Oblast;
- in Cherkasy, heading southwest;
- to the north of Mykolaiv in a northwesterly direction;
- in the Kherson region heading for the Mykolaiv region.
At 00:34, the Air Force updated information on the movement of enemy drones:
- in the west of Sumy Oblast heading for Chernihiv Oblast;
- in the north-west of Poltava Oblast in the direction of Cherkasy Oblast;
- in the south-east of Cherkasy, heading south-west;
- in the Kirovohrad region, in the northeast, heading west and in the south, heading northwest;
- in Vinnychyna, north of the city, heading west;
- in Mykolayiv Oblast, north of the city, heading northwest;
- in the south of Zhytomyr Oblast in a southwesterly direction.
We will remind: Lately, the Russians have been launching “Shahedy” across Ukraine every evening and every night. And their ruler, Vladimir Putin, announced plans to increase the production of Russian drones by almost 10 times in 2024.
On September 19, around 4:00 p.m., the Russians hit a home for the elderly in Sumy with a guided aerial bomb. There are wounded, according to OVA, 1 victim died in the hospital.
