In the second round, the fifth-seeded Ukrainian lost to Giomar Maristani from Spain (#206 WTA).

In the next round, Zavatska will play against “neutral” tennis player Alletya Ibrahimova (#295 WTA).
For Katarina, this is the fourth match at this stage in the current season. She was able to make it to the semifinals only in Brescia in May, when she defeated Kateryna Bindl. As a result, Katarina won that tournament for the second time.
