Almost 70% of agricultural enterprises currently operating in Donetsk region suffered damage and destruction

Olena Rybakova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Complex and Land Resources of the Donetsk Oblast, stated this at an online briefing, Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At the beginning of 2022, 1,220 enterprises were working in agriculture in the territory of Donetsk region, and currently 512 enterprises are working in the territory of the region. Of these 512 enterprises, 353 suffered damage and destruction, including farmyards, fields, and equipment, everything,” said Rybakova.

She added that the total amount of losses at these enterprises currently exceeds UAH 5 billion, “and this is only what can be calculated now.”

The Donetsk region has the longest front line, which is about 300 km.
