WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk was arrested at the airport of the Polish city of Krakow. This information was shared by the deputy of the VRU and former Ukrainian wrestler Zhan Beleniuk, who released the corresponding video.
According to authoritative ESPN insider Mike Coppinger, airport workers in Krakow determined that the physical condition of Usyk and his coach Serhiy Lapin was unsuitable for the flight. Both were denied a flight. Usyk’s team explained this condition as fatigue. Due to the language barrier and the fact that Usyk claimed that he had not violated anything, he and Lapin were detained,” Koppinger reported.
